I bought this dryer strictly to use for deep conditioning my hair after reading the reviews that it didn’t work well for drying hair. It worked beautifully for this the first two times I used it, I just hooked it up to use for the third time and it worked for about 15 seconds (I started on the cool setting) then shut off…I tried other outlets in case that was the issue. It is a dead dryer. I’m very disappointed in this product.

I’ve had this dryer for about 8 months and use it almost every day. I absolutely love it. I too found it difficult to get my shoulder length hair dry in a reasonable amount of time. I found the trick is to dry my hair with a blow dryer till just damp, roll it in my velcro rollers, then use the bonnet dryer while putting on my make-up (about 10 minutes). I put the hose away while it’s still warm so it scrunches up easily and fits back in the unit. I wait just a minute or two til my hair cools then pull the rollers out and style. Hold nice volume all day long. I’ve never had it overheat or turn off on me (knock on wood). I’ll by another one when this one dies!

I thought buying this product would be a good idea because it was small compact and I believed it would do the job. I was extremely disappointed, the only good thing about this product is the size, other than that it did not expand while I had it on and I had to hold it up so that the air can circulate, plus it didn’t get very hot. A complete waste of my money and time.

I saw these hair dryers in the store a while ago, and thought it was nuts to spend close to a hundred dollars on a hair dryer. There was nothing wrong with my $30 model; my hair dried just fine. This hairdryer, though, works so much better!

A few weeks ago, I went to a spa and while I was drying my hair, I noticed — it was so conspicuous — how quiet the dryer was. I finished drying my hair in what seemed like less time, and left the spa feeling like the treatment left my hair softer and smoother than before. I thought it was just the spa environment. The next day I bothered to notice the brand of the hairdryer, and was recognized the “chi” brand.

I came home and bought the hairdryer, knowing I could return it to the store if my experience didn’t duplicate the experience I had at the spa.

I still have the hairdryer. The dryer is much more quiet, it dries my hair faster, AND it does leave it smoother (it wasn’t the spa products or their water!). I wish I had bought this years ago…. it is so very much worth it.

STRONGLY RECOMMENDED. This model is great. Maybe the $200 model is better, but this one is good enough. If I were to lose the dryer tomorrow, I would go out and repurchase it again quickly. It really is that good.

This is by far the most outstanding blowdryer ever. I have purchased three Elchim’s over the last 15 years and I still have them all. If you ever have a problem with an Elchim, you just send it to the repair center at the address provided on your warranty card in the box (save that card/address someplace safe), with $18 – and they completely rebuild it and send it back to you (like if the motor ever reaches the end of its life). So, unless you somehow lose it, this blowdryer could be the last one you ever purchase. I have purchased 3 just because I wanted different models (got bored). I consider this Da Vinci to be a step up over my Uragano because it has the cool shot and it is 2000 watts. The 2000 watts definitely makes my hair dry faster. My hair is always soft and smooth. I do use top of the line products too though (Fekkai, Aveda, Bumble and Bumble).

I won’t say you have to trust me, but I have been AROUND THE BLOCK with blowdryers in my 45 years. All the best salons use Elchim’s. They are the best.

My sister recently tried to sell me on those T3 Evolution $300 blowdryers recently. What a waste of time. The hottest setting on that one actually singed my a hair off. What used to seem like a lot of money for an Elchim (typically I pay in the $130 range) now seems like a bargain (when compared to that $300 piece of junk).

Mine came from BeautySupplies4Less through Amazon. The shipping was quick and it definitely is new and not a refurb. The $94.50 plus a few dollars for shipping is a deal in my mind (compared to my local retail stores and salons).

I have thick and curly shoulder length hair. I would have my hair straightened only when I would get a cut or color. I had tried a few times at home and ended up with Roseanna Roseanadanna hair! (look it up on Youtube!- Funny) I was not confident in my ability to create a similar look at home, but with this dryer I had a nice smooth finish on the first try! I used the comb attachment to start with drying my bangs and the back underside of my hair, then switch to using the black attachment with a round brush. I use two products- a BB holding spray and a smoothing gel (Aveda maybe?) and follow the directions from my stylist. It looks great and the dryer is so powerful that my hair is dry in about 15 minutes. The dryer is also light so it is not a struggle to get the back dry. I have only had this dryer for a week, but so far it has delivered on all it promised. Will update if I have any mechanical issues.

Only downside, long thick and unwieldy cord and absolutely no instructions other than don’t use around water.

First and foremost just to get it out of the way this is an OUTSTANDING hair dryer.

Recently purchased this dryer for my wife, the dryer we replaced was a Conair 1875 Ionshine which still works we have had no problems with it but even though my wife has very short hair it takes her like 15 mins to dry her hair in the morning.

This Elchim dryer is a true professional hair dryer this is not your run of the mill Walmart/Drugstore hair dryer as you can tell by the price.

There is a BIG difference between the 2.

The Elchim is very well made (made in Italy) feels well made in your hand, well balanced.

The air flow I would say is about 300% more than the Conair, it is literally Hurricane Force. (over 80mph)

In fact this was the main reason I decided to purchase the Da Vinci 5000, as far as my research found this is THE most powerful dryer on the market @ 92 M3/h (1600 liters per min) air flow the only other one that came close was a Sedu (made in France) that has 86 M3/h (1500 liters per min) air flow.

There are also 3-4 other Elchim dryers in that 1400-1500liters per min air flow range.

I chose the Da Vinci because it is a bit more powerful than the other 2, has the option to use a REAL Ion generator.

My wife wanted one with much more air flow so I went in search of THE most powerful one.

It now takes her about 5-6mins to dry her hair instead of 15 mins and her hair surprisingly enough actually feels better to the touch.

This dryer works as promised, has cut down the time it takes to dry her hair by 50% or more, even more surprising is that it is not as loud as the old Conair even though it is much more powerful.

This is great for me because now I am not subjected to 15 mins of loud noise every morning.

From what I have seen in other reviews by people that have owned Elchim dryers this one should be about the last dryer we ever buy, not to mention IF something happens to it for the lifetime of the dryer you simply send it in along with $18 and they repair it.

I paid $130.67 from Amazon which is counting shipping and is the cheapest price I could find.

Great hair dryer. It is lightweight, simple to use, and I love the long cord. My only complaint would be that it needs a ‘medium’ setting for blowing air. Low is too low and high it too high (puts my hair in knots) – a medium setting would be perfect. It does seem to dry my hair a little quicker than a regular dryer but not 30-40%. I would still highly recommend it, and never go back to using a $19 Conair ever again.

I purchased a Super Solano 3500 Lite a couple of months ago and it has been all I expected and more. The service from Valley Enterprises was excellent, it didn’t come with the nozzles and they contacted Solano and a few days later I received the nozzles and extra filters. I’ve had a Solano hairdryer before and have been very satisfied, it lasted more than 10 years! I highly recommend this product

I went through two Blow Dryers in the past year. Imagine my annoyance when I’m getting ready for work with a head full of wet hair and my blow dryer is only blowing COLD air!!! My husband searched the Internet for the top rated blow dryers and the Solano was one of them. They have so many models it’s hard to decide but I’m really happy with this model. It is light weight, your arms won’t get sore & tired, and it dries your hair really fast. The motor in it sounds really powerful like the dryers used in a Salon. My husband has used my dryer and really likes it too.

This is approximately the same size and weight of a standard 1800 watt dryer but the air flow is significantly more forceful. I can’t tell if it gets hotter than a standard dryer but I think my shoulder length hair dries in about half the time. It has a very long cord and is more quiet than any other blow dryer I’ve ever used. I’ve bought several other “salon quality” hair appliances and have found this dryer to be the only one worth the extra money.

Very Powerful – the dryer blasts air but it doesn’t get too hot, so it dries the hair without damaging it. There is a slower, hotter setting and two different nozzles for targeted styling. It’s also lightweight and easy to manage.
